Hermanus, with its pristine beaches and majestic mountains, offers some of the best land-based whale viewing in the world and caters for a variety of outdoor activities - from fynbos hikes to shark-cage diving. Close by is the 27-hole golf course, while Arabella is a mere 20 minutes drive away.

Accommodation at Selkirk House in Hermanus

Each of our luxury suites have extra-length king size or twin beds with fine percale bed linen and super soft allergy-free duvets. 

Each fully automated room is equipped with a bar fridge, tea & coffee tray, flat screen TV, international adapter, mini safe, hairdryer & free Wifi.

The bathrooms have a double vanity, walk-in showers and baths, heated towel rails, cotton gowns and Keet & Monks toiletries.

 

Guest Facilities & Services

A delicious full English breakfast is served in the dining room or on the pool deck (weather permitting) from 08h00 until 09h30 every morning. Should you require an earlier breakfast, please arrange with Management in advance.

We have a lovely BBQ area located on the pool deck. We will gladly provide everything you need for an authentic South African BBQ.

The Lower Lounge leading out onto the pool deck is spacious and beautifully decorated with fireplace for winter evenings by the fireside. Lovely patio with comfortable sofas and loungers.

The Upper Lounge has a fireplace and large plasma-screen television. Plush sofas for your comfort. Leads out onto the sea view terrace.

We have an interesting and well-stocked library in the house for your convenience.

Our temperature-controlled wine cellar is stocked with excellent local wines. Please peruse our wine list and place your order with Reception.

There are several fine restaurants in and around Hermanus. We will gladly recommend and book for you. Please enquire at Reception.
