Beaches in the Western Cape of South Africa

The Cape Town area is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. There are beaches for individuals, couples, and families to enjoy. The False Bay Beaches can be found along a curve that runs from the Helderberg on the eastern portion of the bay to Cape Point which can be found at the western end. The Helderberg Beaches include Gordon's Bay, Bikini Beach, Kogel Bay and Strand. These beaches are approximately forty-five minutes from Cape Town and are perfect for families and individuals who want to swim surf, beach walk, sunbathe, or fish. The False Bay Beaches include the Muizenberg, Fish Hoek, St. James, Glencairn, Boulders, Diaz Beach, and Smitswinkelbaai. These are best for individuals who want to swim, sunbathe, walk along the beach, surf or bodyboard.

No matter which of the Western Cape beaches you choose to visit you are sure to have a great time. If you decide that one beach has too much wind and not enough people another beach is only a short drive away. There are beaches for all ages and a range of activities the entire family can enjoy.
