The Mother City

Beach life

You just need to take a walk down to Green Point or take a stroll through one of the busy streets where you can find every type of restaurant or side cafe you are looking for. The people

Cape Town people are known to be friendly and warm-hearted. If you are here on holiday, don’t be nervous. The city's buzz will engulf you and you will have soon met a group of people who will invite you out to enjoy the city lights with them. Many say that the people you meet while on holiday in Cape Town, will become your friends for life. Expect to be invited to a braai, a sokkie or some footie on the beach.


If you are one for the outdoors, then Cape Town will surprise you with the amount of amazing hikes available. Whether it is a sunrise Lions Head hike or a casual Silvermine stroll and picnic,there are so many incredible hiking spots in and around the Mother City. The weather

Visiting Cape Town in summer? Be prepared for the most incredible weather. Expect hot summer days. Perfect for hours on the beach. The sun also sets much later in summer, so your days are longer and you can show off the beautiful pink sunset by snapping pics and posting all over your Instagram. Cape Town is known to have a bit of wind, so if you are into windsurfing then Cape Town is your spot. The wind also cools the city down and brings a cool but enjoyable mist.

Wine tasting

You don’t need to go far out of the Mother City to be surrounded by winelands. If you are looking for a wine farm in close proximity to the city then Constantia Glen is the place to be. If you are doing a day trip out then Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch are fantastic spots to savour  wines in a stylish setting. Cape Town is known for its spectacular wine farms. Make a trip out of it with a group of friends, it is a great form of outdoor entertainment while still getting a true Cape Town experience.
