Eensgevonden Farm - Self Catering Vineyard Cottages the Breede River Valley near Worcester, Cape Winelands
Nestled in the heart of the Breede River valley near Worcester, Eensgevonden is a busy working farm producing some of the region’s finest grapes which produce outstanding wine.
The farm is also home to a historical heritage farmstead, three country-retreat hideaway guest cottages, a small fruit and olive orchard, and two private nature reserves.
The farm includes 400 hectares of mountain nature reserve, with scenic hiking trails through the fynbos with stunning views in all directions, a long list of birds and a nearby secluded crystal clear mountain rock pool for swimming.
Situated between Worcester and Rawsonville, Eensgevonden is just an hour and a half away from Cape Town, and set in the glorious scenery of the Breede river valley, nestled at the foot of the mountains.
Eensgevonden Vineyard Cottages
The cottages have ‘Cape’ style ‘white-washed’ walls with quarry tiles throughout. They are bright and airy, with big wooden double doors opening out onto large verandas and fantastic views. A great place for evening sundowners!
The cottages are fully equipped for self catering – fridge, stove, microwave etc. They are cool in Summer and have cosy fireplaces in Winter, when the surrounding mountains are snow-capped. Each cottage has its own private barbeque/braai area and is surrounded by an indigenous garden.
Crisp, white cotton sheets and feather duvets.
No TV’s or radios. Just the peaceful sound of the birds and owls!
Wireless internet access is available for those who are unable to travel without their laptop!

Nature Reserves at Eensgevonden Farm
The lower reserve is 16 hectares of pone of the few examples of Breede Sand Fynbos which has suffered severe habitat loss over the years.
The upper reserve is 400 hectares of mountain and rocky fynbos.
Guests and bona fide naturalists are welcome to explore both reserves, and the mountain reserve contains the mountain peaks of Bloukop (791 m) and Queen Victoria Peak (1300 m). Both peaks can be hiked in suitable weather conditions.
